Target HOPE Saturday Academy is located at DePaul University’s Loop Campus in the Maggie Daley Building located at 14 E Jackson Boulevard (NOTE: the entrance at 14 E Jackson Blvd is now closed. Please enter through 247 S State Street).

Transportation

We recommend that students take public transport. We are located near the Jackson red/blue line stop. Furthermore, several buses stop nearby at State and Jackson, State and Adams, and State and Van Buren. Feel free to travel with friends from your school or surrounding areas!

DePaul does not offer any special discounts for parking, and street parking in Chicago is often difficult to find. The most affordable parking garage in the area is in the South Loop, a few blocks away from 14 E Jackson Blvd. One garage is located at 318 S. Federal Street and costs $12 if parking is pre-paid (online or through an app); another is at People’s Parking, 524 S. Wabash and costs $12 for six hours of parking; and another is located is located at 111 W Jackson Blvd and costs $9 (again, if parking is pre-paid).

Meals

Saturday Academy does not provide meals. We highly recommend that students eat breakfast before classes start and bring some money to purchase lunch (about $6-7 should suffice). The immediate area has many different restaurants, including cheap options such as Burger King, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Chipotle, and Jimmy John’s, as well as Corner Bakery, Beatrix Market, BIBIBOP Asian Grill, and others.

Finding the eighth floor classrooms

Our first meeting will be in the large lecture hall located at classroom number 806. Afterwards, classes will split into rooms 801, 802, 803, and 806.

Upon entrance via 247 S State Street, the easiest way to access the elevators is via a set of elevators on the left. Once getting off the elevators, follow the hallway on the right to classroom 806. The first door does not stay unlocked, so you will need to walk to the left until you reach the second doorway marked 806.
